This blog started when I owned and MZ Skorpion Traveller and a bike magazine dismissed it with the phrase 'you can't tour on a single'. The Skorpion's gone and I now have a Triumph Bonneville, but I can't be bothered changing the title of the blog!
Geeeee, Why do I feel slightly embarrassed to be an American. To paraphrase the Grateful Dead, 'When in doubt, hop in your foreign car, and go dancing'.
Don't feel embarrassed. Larry. All societies have their lunatic fringe, it's just that in the US they're better organised. I'd love to know their logic behind the belief that dancing leads to driving foreign cars, and what's actually wrong with driving a foreign car, anyway? For me the telling part is the last line in Mr Falwell's statement - 'I really, really need your dollars Today'. That speaks volumes about his motivation!
