This blog started when I owned and MZ Skorpion Traveller and a bike magazine dismissed it with the phrase 'you can't tour on a single'. The Skorpion's gone and I now have a Triumph Bonneville, but I can't be bothered changing the title of the blog!

Touring bike
Of course it's a touring bike! Look, it's got panniers, high bars and a pillion seat.
The new Bimota DB12 Tourist
It's also got a 1198cc Ducati engine and a suitably high price tag. This moves 'touring' into a different league!
I think the idea is that you only carry your day to day things in the panniers, and send your butler on ahead in the Bentley with the rest of your luggage.
Also, does anyone else think the panniers are the wrong way round? I think they would look better (and the bike faster) if the narrow end was to the back.
Panniers? - for the "toothbrush & a credit card type". Looks awesome though.

ReplyDeleteAh, but then you would lose the streamlining effect of the pointy bit!
