This blog started when I owned and MZ Skorpion Traveller and a bike magazine dismissed it with the phrase 'you can't tour on a single'. The Skorpion's gone and I now have a Triumph Bonneville, but I can't be bothered changing the title of the blog!
OK, time to put you out of your misery. The bike is a 1958 Hosk DB 500. Hosk were one of the 200 or so small Japanese bike companies operating in the 50s, and the DB was a close copy of the Horex twin (so Tony nearly got it). Hosk were bought by Yamaha, and the DB led towards the development of the XS 650 twin.
Nobody get it yet? Probably 'cos Stuart is on holiday at the moment.
