This blog started when I owned and MZ Skorpion Traveller and a bike magazine dismissed it with the phrase 'you can't tour on a single'. The Skorpion's gone and was replaced by a Triumph Bonneville which I owned for ten years. My main bike now is a 2006 BMW R1200ST. I can't be bothered changing the name of the blog, so we're stuck with it!

Tiny Dancer
Saw an article on the BBC News website about the current no.1 song in Ireland, a charity cover version of my favourite Elton John song, 'Tiny Dancer'.
This has been released to raise funds to help a young girl suffering from cancer, and features many leading Irish musicians. I'll be honest, other than Mary Black, I have no idea who any of these people are, but they're doing something worthwhile, and that's all that counts.
You can download it here, 99c/79p, a tiny sum compared with what you will spend over the Festive Season, but it could make a huge difference.
Also, if you buy it in the week leading up to Christmas, you could deny Simon Cowell another no.1, and show that the music buying public are warm, caring human beings and not automatic consumers of his drivel.
