This blog started when I owned and MZ Skorpion Traveller and a bike magazine dismissed it with the phrase 'you can't tour on a single'. The Skorpion's gone and was replaced by a Triumph Bonneville which I owned for ten years. My main bike now is a 2006 BMW R1200ST. I can't be bothered changing the name of the blog, so we're stuck with it!

Bela Fleck, the banjo player, did an album of classical music that I have in my car CD player for Holiday music. All the musicians that have been associated with the Flecktones are pretty amazing. The Synthaxe and bass players are brothers, and I believe they originally hail from the Sacramento, California area. The synthaxe is a one of a kind instrument created by the player. I saw Bela recently on public TV playing with another group I can't remember the name of just now. He really stretches banjo playing into new territory.
Lefties have always struck me as a bit sinister.
